A Rug plus Insect Protection for your horse. The perfect match. We blend our unique long-term Insect Control deep within the fabric fibres to offer your horse the protection they need. Tests show that after 6 months of weathering and 25 detergent washes there is still up to 91% of the Insect Control remaining in the fabric. Our Duo offers both durability and coolness where most needed. We do this by combining both our Ripstop and Cool Mesh fabrics, this creates a Rug perfect for a horse in a hotter climate that’s tough on their Rug. The Rug/Hood Design offers full protection of both body & head and a pol strap for full security. Hood and Rug are connected with our unique LYCRA connector offering both mane & wither release!
Also available as a Combo Rug with no Hood.

I was wrapped in the quality, it was a fast delivery and fits my big baby girl perfectly… Don’t hesitate peoples, a great product
This rug is a life saver for horses who have sensitive skin or allergies to flies and insects. Since my horse has been wearing this rug, he no longer gets severe reactions. Very happy with this purchase
I absolutely love what these rugs do for my itchy mare, we are in a high tick and mozzie area and for the 3weeks this year over Christmas while I was waiting for my order to arrive, my poor girl had welts and scabs all over her (while I was treating with permoxin every 2nd day). I only wish these rugs lasted longer. The quality is great but after one summer she starts scratching again and tears the rug up, that when I know it’s time for a new one. I wouldn’t be so worried although the price is quite high for a new rug every year. Wondering if there is a way to retreat the rugs with the insecticide?
Better than the simple mesh! A couple of years ago i bought the mesh rug hood and ears and the next year i had to have it repaired with ripstop along the back and tail. This new mesh + ripstop is great, hopefully they won’t tear it up too soon. The fit is excellent. The only suggestion would be to put a couple of velcro patches along the neck (between the buckles) to make it even more pest proof.
Love these rugs. This is my 3rd wild horse rug. Only drawback is the cotton is such good quality it can be too hot on days above 32 degrees. Would like to see a little more of the mesh in this combo.
This rug is very well designed for comfort and safety to the horse. A good quality rug worth the extra dollars.
Almost perfect!!! Perfect fit for my horse – 6’6 for a 15’3hh stockhorse/paint. Unfortunately the hood does not cover beneath the jaw (between the mandibles), leaving this area still exposed to insects. I am not sure if this is due to her head shape or if this is the design of the hood. However, the remainder of her body has seen a reduction in bites and a more comfortable happy horse.
