When it comes to long-term Insect Control in a Rug, there is no other option. WILD Horse Insect Control is EPA-approved and Our tests show that there is approximately 92% of the treatment remaining after 6 months of full-time weathering and 25 detergent washes. Our Duo is perfect for a horse in a warmer climate who is tough on their Rug. The Duo is made mostly of Ripstop fabric with Cool Mesh panels along the neck and base of the Rug, this means your horse gets both strength and coolness where most needed. Our Combo Rug design has a unique lycra connector at the wither and velcro connectors at the neck to attach your Fly Mask.
Our Duo Combo is also available with Hood and Ear protection if your horse needs added Insect Control.

We use our unique binding process that tightly bonds insect protection deep into the fabric fibres of our Duo Combos.
Our tests show that there is approximately 92% of the treatment remaining after 6 months of weathering and 25 detergent washes. EPA approved treatment can remain effective for 2-3 years.
- A combination of Poly/Cotton Ripstop and Cool Mesh fabric for strength, durability and coolness.
- Our superior design with contoured backline and double cross surcingles ensure this rug stays in place.
- Extra length in neck for comfort.
- Better fitting options at the chest to allow for more adjustment and to help prevent creep back, which leaves exposed buckles against horses skin
- Quality webbing and heavy duty buckles
- Extended chest & shoulder dart lining protection to alleviate rubbing
- Extended fleece on wither pressure point to help prevent oedemas which are a common problem caused by poorly designed rugs
- O-Rings on belly straps

Great rug!! This rug fits my horse perfectly since he has been wearing it he has hardly been rubbing the hood stays in place very well so his face has nearly completely healed. Very happy owner

My sister gave me a 6’6″ of this Duo Combo, and finally the friesian x appy has got hair on his ears, and hasn’t rubbed his poll to a weeping bleeding mess. I love that you put their tail through the tail flap. Plus OMG the eye holes are huge, and the fit is perfect. Plus the clips, I am so sick of cheap dog clips that break and the rugs are destroyed as they slide off and the horse steps on them. I am looking at buying another Duo Combo from the rip stop material, for this horse, the quality is far superior to anything other combo / duo combo, that I have purchased for this horse.

I received mine last week and put them on my horse on Sunday.
I’ve been struggling for a while now trying to find a rug that fits my horse properly, the wither ALWAYS rubs his mane out. I found a rug with wither relief but it would slide backwards off his shoulders and cut in to his neck and it would become tight across the front. This Rug was the solution! The fit is incredible but most importantly it doesn’t rub his wither. I am so grateful for such an amazing rug, thank you. -
WOW…the insect control rug is so effective at keeping flies away. My boy is do so much more comfortable and not a fly on him. Thank you Wild Horse !
